I currently have five, 2.5 foot tall plants and about 10 clones in an aero-cloner with a pretty solid root system established. I am planning on moving my clones into my PVC aero set-up later today and veg them for about two weeks then flower.

Here is my question....I am only gonna need to have 14 rooted clones at one time once my system gets going. Thus, should I flower 2-3 of my mother plants as well. Currently, I have no reason to keep all five of them as i can get the 14 clones from 2 of them. My mothers in in soil right now? Is there any reason to not flower them along with my clones in a couple of weeks?? Please let me know. Thanks.

no reason at all to not flower them. you may want to elevate the clones so that the tops of the clones are at the same height as the tops of the mothers. that will give you the most efficient use of light.

I thought about LST'ing but my stems are already pretty thick. They're looking like mini-trees, which of course is good, however I wish I wouldve trained them earlier. IS it still possible to train them just being very slow with it? Like very slight bending since the stems are so thick?? Thanks for the responses by the way.

I always throw my mature mothers into flower, and chose one of the cuttings to become the next mother, so I say yes...

The only problem you may have is keeping the canopy at the same height, but if you LST the mothers it's not a problem. :bigjoint:

thats what i was going to suggest. all your clones of your current mothers so you can just clone the clones you have now when there bigger

have you thought about making another smaller system with different lights for the clones/veging plants?
