What soil to use?

I've read a lot of people using different soils. Which are the recommended ones?

Vermifire.

Personally i usually go with foxfarm ocean forest with added perlite. In proper sized pots your plants usually dont need nutrients until the end of veg in that soil. Ive also used happy frog mixed half and half with ocean forest. Didnt notice much of a difference. Right now im growing in 50% ocean forest 50% homemade compost. Its a good soil to start with but you will need nutes for heavy feeders in veg and all plants in flower. Thats when i use the foxfarm trio, grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. Be careful not to use too much nutes. I usually use the foxfarm at 1 tsp per gallon when it says 2-3 and only use it when i see slight deficiencies that indicate they want it.

Be careful not to overwater. Cannabis likes soil to dry out a bit inbetween waterings so its roots can get plenty of oxygen. I wait till i can feel a bit into the soil, not enough to disturb the roots though, and find its dry for an inch or two

The promix at Wal-Mart for flowers. The mix for tomatoes works too. Some members here have used it. I've only used the flower mix. It's Good stuff. If I buy more soil it'll be the same.

Nice to hear some other options. I've considered foxfarm and biobizz because it's Dutch and the easiest to acces. Never heard of vermifire tho.
Would it be okay to use light-mix biobizz for the seedling stage and then later the all-mix and add the fox farm nutrients or the biobizz nutrients during bloom or just stick to biobizz?

Cant comment on the soils you name or biobizz in general but the foxfarm trio will do the trick as a starter nutrient line in whatever soil you choose if you want to use it. There are a lot of options though.

I use Dr Earth but unsure of the correct label. I have to hunt for it at Home Depot or order it on line but it's the one with Aloe Vera and Yucca mixed in. I couldn't find the exact thing this year so it's one those for about 14.00 a bag. It has some perilite and a host of good stuff in it. I add worm casting, chicken manure soil, some Dr. Earth 5-5-5 organic ferts, cal / mag, etc. and let it sit for a few months.

If your looking into saving cash look into powdered nutrients. I plan on switching soon. Since theyre not spending cash shipping mostly bottled water theyre significantly cheaper to purchase generally speaking

If you go with the foxfarm trio or have any problems with your grow and need to know anything about how much or when to use each bottle you can reply to any of my posts in this thread and ill do my best to help you out. Also the big bloom of the trio is really unnecessary imo. Your fine with just grow big and tiger bloom

I also like to keep liquid seaweed around to supplement potassium, cal mag in case i have calcium issues, epsom salts in case theyre low on sulfer or magnesium. Adding a silica product in veg/early flower will help strengthen stems up. I have a lot of other products i use now but you can certainly use just the foxfarm trio. The ones i added arent really necessary, just kind of backup stuff for issues. And dont forget to ph your water, dont use softened water, and more importantly watch the ph of the soil. You dont want it to go outside of the range of 6.3-6.8

I tried three part and it's such a pain. Laborious as hell. Bought a bag of Maxibloom. It says one to two teaspoons. That's crap. More like 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon. It's been working pretty good. I bought a small bag and even with it, it'll last at least 10 grows. Probably more.

I do a compost tea for sprouts and seedlings. Kick of nitrogen at around the 3rd week. Then it's chemical. Maxibloom till finish.

Yeah i always feed my girls a lot less than recommended. Its ironic dont other plants usually feed less than cannabis? Idk whats up with the recommendations

Also yeah maxibloom seems to be good. Im considering getting exactly that and maxigro

At strengths it'll burn cannabis. The little flowers take off. No sign of burn and explode. So I know it's working. Like you said. The label is bull$hit and they Damn good and well know people are growing weed with it.

Damn. Sharpen up the label. Save people the frustration.

Doing a similar thing this run!! Best plants ever!! 50/50 fox farm ocean forest and homemade compost (cow manure, grass trimmings, brown leaves, and a ton of kitchen scraps), with added perlite

Also used foxfarm tigerbloom, grow big, a little beastie blooms, and some epsom salt

They just got past flowering stretch

Very beautiful , keep up the good work. My last run all I had to use, was a compost tea I think I did three, during flower. Now my yield was not as big as Ive had before, I don't know I like the total organic, Lol this last batch gave me the damn munchies every time

I use straight coco, i get the charged type. Use some calmag here or there to be safe, my girls are much happier than they where in promix hp.

Other nice thing with coco as a nube if you use breathable containers its damn good insurance against newbie overwatering... coc can be watered daily if one chooses, as even fully saturated it holds an extremely high oxygen content...

You too!! Great looking plants!! I love organics. The best bud ive grown was when i had to add chem ferts the least. Plus its just nice to have a good soil built and water plain phd water most of the time

The last few years I keep hearing great things about coco at the store, not just from the salesman but from other gardeners... I just cant bring my self to change yet. I am starting back up here in a month or so, I might just try one plant in coco, I have enough years and research under my belt Im sure it will be fine.

Doom, Iv not used the soils u have, so i cant compare but it beats the shit otta promix... the freedom to water when u want is nice... if you see she needs something u give it to her... reusable a few times, renawable... iv not found a downside yet, i hear some cal mag complaints, not been issue for me.
