What Strains for Volksgarden

Im going to try my luck with the rotary Volksgarden by omega gardens. i have about 14" from the top of the cube to an inch from the light. my question is what strains do you recommend i try out that typically grow short and fat? ive read from another user in this forum that he vegged for 5 days and flowered for 6 weeks to get his purple kush to bud and not burn. are there a lot of available clones that are good starters in West Hollywood that are short and stout that also might grow well together? it would be nice to try 5 of this and 5 of that. im going to try la confidential and blackberry og kush to start but would love some advice
