From what I've heard growing in a low temperature environment you can turn any strain purple. I understand it won't be as purple as a strain with purple in the genetics. My question is what temperature range do I have to be in?
From what i have gathered, the purple is a phenotype which is only present in certain strains and even then it is hit and miss. I have heard that when the temp is reduced at the end of flowering it promotes the purpling but im really not sure on what it will do to a strain with no purple genetics. There is some interesting info in here https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/408769-purple-maxx.html
Well I've had everything in my garden purple from cold night temps so I'd say anything in the low 60's but I wouldn't go into the 50's because that is a drastic change in temp from when the lights are on
Mine went purple when I hit the high 50's-low 60's. I don't think either is a purple pheno. They are green at normal temps, but go purple around 60 and lower.
