What The Hell Is Wrong With My Grow Room?

my temp refuses to go under 82 degrees. i got the thing that checks my temp directly under the lights(the same place my plants are). its a closet grow and with the door closed the temp is 85 and slowly rising. i would like to be able to close the door because the closet is in the bedroom and im not gonna try to sleep with the "sun" shining through my closet. i got 3 plants and 6 cfl's. 3 23w and 3 26w. i've got 3 fans...a small, medium, and large. my bedroom temp is about 75 degrees. heres a pic of my grow room.

inlet and outlets i dont hear you mention any.

you need too have an inlet this draws cool air in, then an outlet this will expel the warm air in your room and keep it cool. without venting the warm air is just being worked around closet and has nowhere too escape.

Hey bro you got to be able to exhaust the hot air out of that closet.

In addition to what the others have said... .what is the silver stuff you are using? It looks to be some sort of car sunshade? Looks to be padded, which makes me think it's meant to capture heat and not just reflect light. Regular Mylar is like wrapping paper thin and doesn't hold heat... just reflects light.

You might want try taking out that silver thing and see if that helps at all.

I have a similar situation. I do my vegging in a closet in my bedroom. What I do is leave the door open during the day when I am not sleeping, and my plants do just fine. The temps are cooler at night, and unless you sleep 12 or 14 hours a day, a little rise in temp for a few hours at night wont do that much harm.

at night the temp is 77 and at night with the door closed it dont go over 87. i guess thats acceptable but soon im gonna be puttin a 400w hps in there. hopefully when i can use more room in my closet the temps wont change much. i also have a 10000 btu air conditioner that im probablly gonna move to the bedroom.

With 10000 BTU you could use the room as a meat locker. You will be fine I think.
