Hi RIU!

Kinda in need of some help...I'm in the unemployed lane right now and can't seem to find anything decent...
I have no "references" because I lost both of my last jobs...
The first time was entirely my fault...the second not so much, I was basically fired for "refusing to put up with 4-8h per week shitty hours"...anyway now I'm without a job and I'd like a job that pays decent (not minimum wage)...

Could anyone try to give me some ideas?
So toke up and give me your say :hump: bongsmilie
Thank you!!

Well, you're going to need to find SOMETHING. Its almost christmas time, people are still hiring for temp work. Temp work often leads to a regular position. To get your foot in the door, list the last few best jobs you had and everything you have done that you learned or that is significant. There is a really good chance that they won't even call your work places. References might be hard, try facebooking some old high school friends, or go back to high school and find teachers that liked you. But depending on the job, they may be looking for work references only.

Tell them you've been going to school for something that you're interested in, its a lie, but it looks fucked when you just spent the last 2+ years doing nothing, and holiday hiring is all about hiring people who are going to school.

Security is easy as hell, you only get a few dollars over minimum wage, but usually its a lot of standing around, or sitting around with the occasional walk of the building every hour or so. If you have a car you get to make REAL money on insurance security. If its out side of the city, you get paid mileage and gas, and theres a HUGE chance of overtime which involves sitting in your car playing games, reading, or listening to music. Security is ALWAYS hiring and all you need is a clean record check and 40 hours of training.
