Pics would help, but yes cuttings can be taken from plants that have been in flower. They can revert back to veg without to much of a problem as long as they haven't been in flower for long.i just recently got some cuttings but noticed that they have what looks the start of buds on them just wondered if cuttings can be taken from a flowering plant and what will happen
