What to do with soil after it turned male (SS)

So pretty fucking pissed off but 3 of my 6 ended up being male after I swore they were female one week into flower

Needless to say I had transplanted them in their 5 and 7 gallon containers with my SS and everything and I don't want to just waste the good stuff in the pots

So how do I go about reusing the soil? I am concerned about the gnats that are living in the soil (Roots Organic as base) and the dead roots that would be in there as well; I figured just dumping it into my straight super soil mix would delute it all? I'm in an apartment too so my only area to really mix is in my tub with a tarp

Cut the plants off at the base. Lay down some seeds as a cover crop (clover, vetch, etc) and top dress a little worm castings, then set them off to the side of your veg room and water them on occasion. When you have new marijuana clones ready for transplant, just plug them right in to to those containers.

do you mean because the males dumped pollen on the soil? Cuz that's a good question... but if you mean just to re use the soil, then i'd follow that link to the no till thread.
if the soil has a bunch of pollen, then i'd say toss the soil or use it for vegetables or something. Unless you don't mind some seeds

The pollen wouldn't be viable after a couple days.

I was gonna say that I thought pollen COULD stay viable for a long time... Since there are millions of them, i'd be careful if you don't like seeds.... Personally I wouldn't care at all, but I like the mystery of new seeds

It's my understanding that if pollen is exposed to moisture, even in the air, it won't remain viable for more than a week. Take in to account that the soil he just used was likely watered recently too. Long term storage of pollen is possible, but it has to be stored in an air tight container with all moisture removed via dessicant.

The mod says he keeps his pollen in the fridge. Ringo ( breeder of sour tsunami and other famous cbd strains) said he keeps his in a paper bindle in a cool dry place for up to 3-4 years no freezer, no fridge.

I don't disagree with that. Pollen kept in cool, DRY enviornment can stay viable for long periods. Grow rooms ( at least mine) are anything but cool and dry.

Great info no pollen just mad cause they were gorgeous and i had them cloned and everything then just decided to grow balls everywhere, on to the new favorite though and since i had to take her clones she's got like 16 or so tops now haha

Get cannazine or hydrazine. Add at three times dose they say to water. Water soil and set aside for two weeks. It breaks the old roots down so they can be nutes for your new plants. Also what all these people missed. Planting new seeds in male plant soil will increase females to over 90%. The hormones left by the male plant does that.

Ooooh, interesting... i might have actually reckoned the same guess about the presence of male plant hormones being a contributor to increased chance/frequency of females (something about how cannabis "goes male" when it "senses" that there aren't enough males around... so perhaps having males around, the new plants would sense that, and "feel" that it's okay to be female... or something?).

I prepare a plant based fermentation that introduces male hormones to my rooms at key times so I don't get herm.

The "herm" I assume you're referring to would be from a plant that is left to flower beyond its harvest window. Chop it on time and that shouldn't be a problem.

Any other cause would be environmental stressors (aside from shitty genetics), and I don't see how some enzyme concoction you came up with is going to prevent stress from a light leak for example
