Hi. Thinking of starting a grow at some point in the near future. I am at University so it will be difficult to hide but sounds worth the trouble. Sick of getting sillica sprayed weed. I'd rather not get sillicosis, so i have to throw it away!
Firstly what are the pros and cons of feminized seeds? It is likely to be a fairly lacklustre grow, with one plant, one light and a few nutrients and fertilizers, so nothing like some of you pros growing with hps etc. I like the sound of feminised seeds due to the fact I wont have to bugger around woth sexing. Are they worth the extra cost and are there any hidden dangers to watch out for?
Also, I need a fairly small plant. One that can quickly be whipped into the back of my wardrobe at short notice when someone wants to come into my room. Actually I need one as short at possible due to this. It also needs to fit in there when it is sleeping/when the girlfriend is sleeping over!!
I am planning to keep it a secret from everyone for security reasons, even from my flatmate who lives down the hall and who I regularly cane with. Until it is done curing anyway.
Smell is also an issue. What seeds will provide a short, and less pungent smelling weed with the highest thc content possible? (willing to sacrifice content for a really short, high yeilding less smelly plant.)
I am also thinking of investing in a few general plants to grow a th same time like basil and parsley which I will use for cooking. Does anyone know a nice smelling plant good at covering up weed smell to some extent?
I will be going home in mid march for a month, so will not be starting it till after i return, but in the meantime i may grow a couple seeds I have from some unidentified weed a while ago. It was good stuff, so maybe the seeds will produce something (anything) if not just for the novelty and some leaves to smoke in the short time I have left. Also to check equipment is working.
So in summary....
What is a good short plant that will have a fairly high thc content, reasonable yeild for a small plant and be less pungent than others on the market? It would also be helpful if the plant will bud at, or under 3 month mark.
Are there any good legal plants for masking odours and to justify the ownership of a lamp, mist gun, vermiculite and various nutrients and fertilizers?
For me, are feminised seeds a good bet?
What lamp should I buy, considering it will only be one plant and quite small? How much should this cost me, roughly?
