I like tonneau covers too and had one on my tundra but I need more storage than what they provide. Depending how much work it is taking the cap off, might get one for the offseason.I personally like flat tonneau covers better.
They don't disrupt the lines of the truck and they're easily removable or folded back to haul something higher than the bed. And there's no struggling to get something in ever.
Also better vision to the rear. And you can get hard tonneau covers also.
And they're cheaper.
Everybody has different needs back there though, ya gotta do what you gotta do.
Kinda like fiberglass if I was getting one. It screws your rear sliding window if you have one.
I'm still leaning towards aluminum. You can get aluminum with sliding windows too. Those pics were just stock. I've looked both on Craigslist and Facebook. The bodystyle is just too new. Not any used stuff to my specifications at all. I would think the Fiberglass is harder to repair. Aluminum dents vs Fiberglass cracks. The off gassing is a valid concern. Which is why I was going to keep the chlorine in the passenger side toolbox. And rustoleum the inside? What about brands A.R.E.? Leer? Pretty much the only option around here.I voted aluminum for the reason you mentioned, looks more utility. The side doors are also larger allowing you to store bigger shit.
Fiberglass is easy to repair, think surfboards. Oh yeah, you are landlocked in flyover country; no surfing hehehMan, you guys changing your votes and shit is wreaking havoc on my emotions.

Go with the aluminum. You'll fatigue long before the metal does.Man, you guys changing your votes and shit is wreaking havoc on my emotions.
