What type of light should i use when im flowering?

Yeah u can use cfls 2700k for flowering or a 150 hps.The amount of cfls needed to get some decent buds u r better off going with the 150 imho.

definatley HPS, u can use cfls but you would compromise on yield.
if your planning more grows then get the HPS now maybe a little more money but it will pay for itself in the longrun.

Your plant doesn't care if it gets lumens from cfls or hps. CFLs are cheaper and cooler. But don't use just 2700k, you want a mix of 2700 and 6500 for flower.

Not true, I have personally done grows with equal wattages of cfl's and hps's. There is no comparison. I think in Weed World #62 or so, there is an extremely detailed side by side grow. Everything was equal, except one side was cfl's and the other was hid's. Hid lights penetrate much farther into the foliage than cfl's. There are many more reasons why hid lights are the best light source for growing these days.

HPS is the best light for flowering. I went to the electrical supply and bought a ballast, capacitor, ignighter and bulb and built my own for half the cost of a factory made one. I have 10 plants flowering 7 under HPS and 3 undercfls 2700k 100w and the difference is like black and white.

Yeah go with the hps, no point in spending money on cfls, only to be disappointed by the results. I have been there myself. Get yourself a dual spectrum bulb for the hps, and use it for vegging too.
