are there any specific types of nutrients you can buy from lowes or home depot. 1 for vegetative state and 1 for flowering.

Vegging is easy. Alaskan fish emulsions, Jacks Classic (20-20-20), to name a few (Jacks is better). Marijuana wants a bit more what they call micro-nutrients than most. They like magnesium and calcium so the better ones have those (Jacks has it).

Flowering is where the money is made so nobody goes cheap there. You'll want something low in nitrogen (under 5) and high in Phosphate (around 30) and potash (over 15) along with the Mg, C, and micros. Don't over do it. Those figures should give you a nice happy plant that won't be malnourished or get nute burn.

Jack's Classic Bloom Booster 10-30-20 will do you just fine and will cost well under $10.

Start at 1/4 strength and work your way up.

Home depot, Miracle Grow: 'All Purpose Plant Food' < For veg ***** 'Bloom Booster' < For flower

People ARE going to come in here and knock it. Saying it's bad... BUT, It's the ONLY nutriend I've ever used. And I've got pix for proof that it works. The great part about this nute, is that I've grown well over 30 plants with it. And have yet to purchase anymore. It was a 1 time buy for many a grows, and it's less than $15 for both the veg and bloom nute combined. And works great if you know how to use it. No reason to go downing $50+ on nutes...

I will do this myself because of the money saved, but you might want to check out a hydrophonics store just to browse around and get an idea of what's available. A lot of their stuff is pot-specific.

Thanks! And I have! But I'm doin alright without it! :) I'd rather save the money anyways. Why use a pot-specific nute when mine is doing JUST fine! And is probably MEGA cheaper!

Here's a couple examples of what Miracle Grow can do..... Oh yea, and only CFL lighting aswell.

I don't use it myself...I actually spend too much and use the FoxFarm line up of nutes...but after seeing your pics I sure won't bad mouth the MG anymore! I think too many people burn shit up by using the MG too strong and that gives it a bad name. On a small grow and limited budget it looks like it does the job just fine. Good luck...have a stoney one :peace:
