if your looking for a play by play then you should look into getting a few books on growing first.I put my plant in a 5 gal smart pot from a solo cup then after i put the plant in i gave it some water/food enough to get my bottom saucer filled with some water. Now im ready for the next step. So if there is someone that can give me some ideas id greatly appreciate it.
I absolutely approve of, first, getting the roots out, in a solo cup. Good job!I put my plant in a 5 gal smart pot from a solo cup then after i put the plant in i gave it some water/food enough to get my bottom saucer filled with some water. Now im ready for the next step. So if there is someone that can give me some ideas id greatly appreciate it.
Well that is true. I go to a 6" azalea cup first where they grow into daily feeding. When you transplant a seedling directly from a solo cup to a 5-gal. pot you are going to enjoy a couple of wasted weeks. Plants spend most of their initial energy growing roots to fill the pot. Until the roots reach the pot there will be little growth above ground. That's why we usually TP from a solo cup into a small pot. The roots will reach the pot a lot sooner and start that important veg state.
Good luck, BigSteve.
1st step is to transplant
2nd step is to cook with nutrients
3rd step is to cut off the ends of all the leaves to 'hide' the nutrient burn
4th step is to flower really small and young to guarantee less than an ounce harvest
5th step is post a thread "is it ready" in newbie central then chop 3-4 weeks early regardless of the opinions or advice.
Seriously though if you post some pics, you will get some help.
