What would happen if I cut the tip off?

I germinated an AK48 in soil and left it in a dark warm place... I came back 4 days later and it sprouted about an 1 3/4, the stem looked pale and the shell didn't pop off. I wet the shell waited about 3 minutes and used needles to pry off the shell. Now 12hrs later it still looks like it did with the shell on? Should I give it some more time for the leaves to spread out or can I cut it and it will regrow??? Also the stem is green what to do :(

no you dont want to cut it, pretty good chance it will die. when it comes to seedlings you kinda want to just leave them alone and let them do what they do. say it looks the same in a couple weeks then toss it and try again. good luck

Personally I'd do more research on growing. Seems like you need to read a lil more before you jump in head first. There is nothing wrong with pulling the shell off I've done this many times. These are all minimal problems. Read read read is the best you can do.

Leave it alone, they hang on to their shells sometimes, it's part of the plant. It will fall off when it's good and ready, otherwise you could end up killing it.
