THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EXACT SCIENCE OR A GUESS ON WHAT YOU SHOULD YEILD.... JUS SOME OUTCOMES FROM PREVIOUS CFL GROWS.......

So i decided to make a lil thread to kinda get a grasp on cfl watt to yield ratio..... i kno it isnt an exact or anything close jus kinda wondering and also other growers can get an idea ya kno

heres what you need to post:

STRAIN:_________(if it was a bagseed jus write that)
WATTS:
LUMENS: (every bulbs different)
MEDIUM: (soil, hydro, etc)
TECHNIQUE: (any training)
NUTES: (if organic write that)
PLANT SIZE: ( when harvested)
YIELD: ( dry weight please)
GROW CONDITIONS AND ANY VARIABLES YOU CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD AFFECT YOUR YIELD: (like heat , grow problems, any thing that pertains)


OH AND PICS OF THE PLANT IS A PLUS

I think it is a good idea, but there is too much varience in the results due to the large ammount of variables in growing ;)

yeah i tried covering anything i could think off that would make any sort of difference....

maybe ill add a brief grow conditions and setup to that

you think of any thing i need to add to the list

WATTS: guessing with this, 275-325
LUMENS: mixed
MEDIUM: soil
TECHNIQUE: one was fim'ed, rest are natural growth
NUTES: just started feedin nasty shultz 10-15-10 at 1/2 str
PLANT SIZE: with about a month of veg 9-12 inchs, very bushy
YIELD: nothing yet
GROW CONDITIONS AND ANY VARIABLES YOU CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD AFFECT YOUR YIELD: slightly hot around 80-87 with lights on.

thought i would post this to see if anyone can guess what im looking at.

STRAIN:bagseed from popcorn 60/40 indica dom

WATTS:294

LUMENS: 18,900 mixed spectums

MEDIUM: MG soil

TECHNIQUE: one late lst, the other all natural

NUTES: MG - 30-10-10 veg schultz 10-15-10 flower

PLANT SIZE: vegged for 2 months outside one was 23" before LST the other is 13"

YIELD: 2nd week flower still growin

GROW CONDITIONS AND ANY VARIABLES YOU CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD AFFECT YOUR YIELD: 77 off 86 on, stunted from heat stress ( vegged outside in 100 plus degreess ahhh lol,

looking nice kho. i recently just bought a huge 65w 2600k cfl and i feel in love, picking up at least 3 more for my grow. my plants started to show a nute def. within the last week. lower leave falling off after yellowing. i suspected a nitrogen def so i just got my shultz feed, same as yours. im also in mg soil but the organic kind, seems little better quality. ill get picture up very soon and a journal.

question for you. i started my plants off with 4 drops of shultz per gallon or whatever it says on the bottle. its just about half strentgh. just waiting to see how they take it. what strentgh of the shultz do you use? have you burned your plants with it before? im sorry to hijack the thread, tried to keep it slightly on track :D

lol no worries hijack all ya want at least well put it to use first the 68w 2700k lights i love i have two in a hood thing i made https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/221798-home-made-cfl-fixture.html

ive only feed the shultz twice i filled a water bottle up and put 2 drops in it lol not much i kno but enough for the first feeding the second feeding (today) i put 2 droperfuls in a 32 oz spray bottle then filled half a water bottle up and filled the rest with water to dillute ( not exact measuring i kno) one for each plant, it seemed to perk them up alil but time will tell

i used MG garden soil it had 3 months of nutes then i added some soil i had round the house that was more organic ( my plants have been tetering on nute burn thier entire life haha)

oh wow, i hope my plants werent burnt and just had a def. if it was a burn and i just feed them today, oh boy i might cry tommorow..... my first set of true leaves were the ones affected so i thought that it was just a def. if im right a burn with show on newer growth, which i dont have. new growth is so bright green with the older leaves a nice dark green, loving this kush plants.

i saw you thread about how to make it and i reallllllllly loved how it looked. the thing is i already made a hood to house my 7-9 bubls i have. i might look into making one. how did you wire it. like from the sockets to the wall? looked like a cut computer cord that you spliced to feed the socket.

most likely since you feed at 1/2 strentgh it wasnt a burn and if it somehow was it wasn't bad id jus wait a good week or so and watch the tips theyll brown first and the older leaves on the bottom will suffer if it is..... but so far i like shultz mine look so good this morning haha....:shock:

as for the wiring i took one of those outdoor 4 foot extention cords i think its like 2 bucks or something i jus cut one end off and wired in the fixture was alreadt wired out that thing only took like 5 mins to build and im happy with it.... and remember side lights make plants on cfl love you haha

i have that up top and three 26w on the side of each plant haha no shadows

yeah i need to work on full coverage. i still got very nice side branching popping out from first node all the way to the top. ive got about 275 watts of cfls hitt the tops of my plants with the 65w in the middle almost like a mini vertical grow. its looks sick. i wonna get 3 more of them and just hav emy plants surround by them on the top in my hood.

good news in the room too. been in 12/12 for a week and some change(too much zootedness) and i notice very SMALL white hairs forming on top growth on 3 of my baies. so i got 3 females outa 5 so far. other 2 didnt show. i also got 3 little ones from 12/12 from seed, the jack herrer. just gonna hope for little lollpop buds from them.

its been a day and a half an no signs of nute burn so im almost posative it was a deficencey because that was the first time i feed them. and they grew and showed sex so im thinking there liking it. little sluts :D

i love how this thread turned into the wilt and kho private chat. maybe we should try and get it back on toppic

I Want to know why some people who use cfl's get 4 inch plants and other people get 4ft plants. I know there's many variables but I don't like the idea of rolling dice with my plants. Maybe it may be 4in maybe 4ft,who knows?

i think it has to be something with strain, light, and veg time im sure theres other reasons but these are prolly main factors ???

cool thank you for posting when did you feed the molasses ? and how big was your grow room?

RIGHT ON congrats on the females maybe youll get too more lol and let me kno how that jack herer goes ive been lookin at gettin some of those beans for my next grow yeah ive heard you really have to pour on the schultz to burn them so thats prolly a good thing HEHE

haha yeah. i just went today and checked on my plants ( at a friends house) an one of the last 2 showed sex. the only one to not show is the one i fimmed and i believe its a female and is just taking its time to recover before showing.

kho im in the process of starting my journal :D so go check it out

jzchronic, looks like that plant had a lotttt of stress but the nugs you pulled still looked VERY dank. nice and hairy :D

I have one other thats about the same size.. but im keeping her a secret for a while. Then post pics of the buds from her. She's gonna be the bomb.
