The effects of gerrymandering are truth too. Democrats will need to win by 6% margin nationally in order to take the 23 extra seats needed for a majority in the house. The best they've done this decade is 2% margin.

Why should I?

What I said is true. In 2010 after they won bigly across the nation, Republicans gerrymandered districts for local and national offices using the very best analysis available. You Bernie babies keep harping on how recent results have gone against Democrats even though we win the popular vote more often than Republicans do. Because of gerrymandering, Democrats have to win by much more than a simple majority. This upcoming election, we need to win by about 6% margin nationally. It's quite likely we will but if we only manage to win by 2% the House remains in Republican hands. You Progressives(TM) will jump on that as proof that Democrats are a failure when the reality is Republicans managed to defeat the will of the people through gerrymandering and voter suppression.

Which brings me to the crap you and other Progressives(TM) keep posting. Your endless fact free drivel about how awful Democrats are is exactly what Right wing voter suppression propaganda programs want you to say. Jimmy Dore, Kyle Kulinski keep hammering this propaganda message into your naive ears. If we don't win the mid terms with a high enough margin, it will be in part due to their voter suppression through propaganda. Yes, I'm saying you and other Progressives(TM) are mindless tools for the right.

It can work against the GOP this go round. The party in power tries to slice the pie as thin as possible. Which means there are a lot of 53-47 districts out there. If this mid term is as big of a wave election as may thinks it's going to be, it will wash many of the
GOP "safe" seats right out of power.

Hopefully the blue wave washes GOP control from states ahead of the next redistricting in 2020. That said, gerrymandering defeats democracy and I'm pushing for politically neutral redistricting and laws that keep it so.
