Whats a good soil?

Just about any pre-amended soil that doesnt rely on chemical time released fertilizers (like the regular miracle grow) will be fine to use
I've used:
-Fox Farm Ocean Forrest
-Fox Farm Happy Frog
-Roots Organic
-Sunshine Mix Advanced #4
-Several homemade soil/compost blends
-And currently getting ready to run some in a custom mix with a Miracle Grow Performance Organic base

They say it should be sufficient right up until the end of the plants life. lol my first grow last year i used a similar product called Freedom Farms, which also has a really impressive soil make up, however my dumbass decided it needed more fert... the PH was off right until harvest and i only learned about how important PH is when i started my indoor grow. Hell, we live and we learn

Havent used it personally, but i hear a lot of great things about black gold.

Well, I just up-potted 2 of my plants... The original base was sunshine mix #4, but the additional soil added for the new containers was a mix of 1/3 MG Performance, 1/3 Mushroom compost, 1/3 sunshine mix.
Then I have that same soil blend as my base in 18gal totes, that I've mixed some bio-live and EWC into and is currently cooking for my next round of plants.
So I cant say I've used MG Performance on its own, but yes, I'm using it now. And so far so good.
I might end up doing a run in nothing but MG Performance down the road, but just looking at the ingredients list, and the quality of the soil itself, it should be just as good as any other organic soil blend.
I use Sunshine #4 inert peat for my indoor gardens, but use Black Gold for my outdoor container vegetables and cannabis. The plants love the stuff.

Folks, hi, new to here. I have used all of the above soils and grow mediums, and in my 20 odd years I have to give a shout out to Westland compost with added John Innes It is absolutely magnificent for growing. My autos are thriving, it has aremoved the need for perlite or any other mineral. The soil pH has remained constant, and it's the best I've ever used. This 100 year old company for gardeners know their stuff.

I’m using it now as base for my living soil kinda coots recipe I did get a break down sheet of what’s in it cant find it now but Know I was impressed enough to order 500ltrs lol I remember it had bat shit and Irish peat moss I have used rice hulls instead of perlite and got really nice structure

Here's the info from the bag. Peat is the base, perlite, compost, "fertilizer" (feather meal, spy meal, bone meal, sulfate of potash), and yucca.
It SAYS perlite, but there definitely isnt any traditional perlite in the mix... maybe they do use rice hulls and just say "perlite" on the bag for wme reason
