What's happened to grinspoon?

Ive noticed that pretty much everywhere is out of Dr Grinspoon online. My friend was out in Amsterdam a few months back and said that cafes were low on supply of it in bud form too.

Anyone know what's going down?

Ive also heard of a "Dr grinspoon v2.0" which seems like the iconic popcorn buds have been bred out into normal looking buds.

Really love this strain, and if I could find the parents seeds to breed my own Id do that too, but trying to find Panama red and Thai seeds is also a nightmare!

I gotta say I love it. Reminds me and my friends of our first time in Amsterdam.. Main reason I want some as a souvenir

I had some silver haze plants back in the day that got randomly pollinated and about 1 in 20 plants from the seed would show a pheno that looked like the Grinspoon pics I have seen.
I figured it was momma hemp gene rearing its head, lol.

I think the "grinspoon" gene is just a deformity. I don't think it actually adds anything at all. From what I've heard the strain was grown by a breeder who thought the strain was junk so passed it onto some people to see if they could rework it and then barneys farm stuck a label on it and sold it.
Have to admit it is a good smoke so I can see why they did it.

If anybody has seeds or knows of anywhere reputable where I can get some from please let me know!
Strains I also want to get hold of are Panama Red and Oregon Purple Thai
