whats the best way to tell that my dank ass autoflower is actually finished? Ive looked around and havent found an answer. Thanks everyone!

first thing i look for is are all of the pistils receded back into the bud?
second is are the calyx'es nice and swollen?
third, once i see the above two have taken place, i'll check out the color of the trics.. i usually like to wait until i see pretty much no more clear, and about 15% of so amber, and the rest cloudy.. different people like their trics at different colors, so learn where you like your trics to be when you harvest, get a jewelers lope or a cheap hand held microscope from say radio shack or online and inspect the trics.. just make sure that when you're looking at the trics to look at them on the buds and not on the leaves as the ones on the leaves tend to mature a bit sooner than the ones on the actual buds..

I would get a cheap led lit jewelers loupe. I didnt use anything my first 2 grows and both autos (nirvana bubbleicious and short stuff himalaya blue diesel) came out great. If u dont wanna buy a loupe u could do what i did...... wait for all your pistils to change color and receed back to the bud.... IMO.. if u see standing white hairs its prob not done. I would buy a loupe though.. u can get a led lit loupe for 16-20$ shipped

Same plant. I would say 90% brown hair with some tinged with white. Should I take into consideration the 6 days of rain predicted to start my tomorrow?

Need a 40x or 60x loupe, check the trichomes on the calyx itself. NOT the sugar leaves. Don't go by those, afterall, we don't smoke the leaves. you want most of your trichome heads to be cloudy/milky with some amber mixed in, depending on how much CBN you want, wait for more amber. The hairs should be mostly orange, curling and receeding into the calyx, which should be swollen and giving off a "crown" look. Not all strains do it but a lot of fan leaves will yellow from the tips inward. Drawing up all the last nutes it can.

If you really don't want to cut them down yet and have some spare $, i would pick up some 2x4s and build a small "greenhouse" Get some clear plastic and wrap the bitch up. Leave small gaps at the bottom for airflow, Dead stagnant air= Botrytis

Hell yeah thanks for the info. I look at sugar leaves a lot it throws me off.
I pretty much need to clip a bud after the hairs are bent in, trim it down to bud, flatten it, and then look at it under a scope.

Boom. you got it. exactly what i will do if my opinions on such are in the air. My new scope tonight def helps a lot though. Can see them pretty well. Now if my old ass can fiqure out how to work everything with it on my computer i can get soe pics up lol

They have scopes with cameras built right in. Its on my wishlist for when I actually make enough money to do something other than pay bills lol. They hook to tablets thru usb.
