Whats the minimum veg time from seed?

Can anyone tell me if there's a minimum veg time from seed?I've been let down on some cuttings that i've been waiting on for 10 days but when i ordered the cuttings ten days ago,I planted 10 Big Buddha cheese seeds the same day just in case something like this would happen.
The seeds have been up a week now and are just forming their third full leaf(excluding cotyledons).I usually veg for six weeks or till the sex shows but I've got a week to ten days before my other grow finishes and was hoping to time it just right so that i had another ten girls ready to go into flower. That'll make the seedlings around 2 1/2 weeks old and I reckon at the rate they're growing they'll have about six nodes by then.Is this too early and will it make a difference to the yield?

It's always been my process that once I see alternating nodes, that seedings are ready to go under the big lights. There isn't really a definitive time like 8.4 days, each variety is different, each setup is different.

I do think it will impact yield. If you let them veg for another 3 weeks, you'd see a significant increase in yield.

...seedlings generally take between 8 to 12 weeks to achieve sexual maturity in my experience, ...but there are many who flip their seeds immediately going 12/12 directly from seed, no veg time at all.

btw, what's the story with those clones you speak of? ...my clones typically take 14 days to root so if those cuts of yours are still standing up and looking green then there is a good chance they will make it.

...can you post some pictures of them?

peace, bozo

I go 30 days in veg.
You can do as little as 0 in veg and go straight to 12/12 from seed.

If you plan to top, or train, you need some veg time.

No,they're not mine.I ordered them from an aqaintance 11 days ago and was supposed to pick them up today but he said the lights fell down on them and flattened them.It was nothing to do with the rooting:-)
Thanks for all your advice guys.

like has been said already, you can switch to flower w/e you want.. there is no set time, and some people even start seeds 12 / 12 from the get go, which i happen to think is completely retarded, but what do i know.. :D
the longer the veg, the bigger the root mass, the more foliage you have before you switch to flower, the more buds you will have at the end of the grow, simple as that.

I've grown decent babies with 12/12 from seed, they do lack in yield but they turn out alright.S7300957.jpg that how ever is rather new to me. I've got pistils growing straight above the cotyledons and it hasn't reached its first real node yet. I'm growing her in a window and letting her do as she pleases. So it's about a 15 hour day she gets in light, only about 7 hours of direct light with the sun coming straight through her window. Off track sorry.......um yea, you don't need to veg them in the slightest but the long you do the more you turn out with.
