When can i start to flower

Hi everyone its my first grow and i havent a clue the plants are 4 weeks old they are under a 125w cfl grow lamp on 18,6 but iam wandering when can i take a clone and when to start flowering. Please help! thank you.:joint:

You can flower anytime. From what I've seen and heard, it all depends on what you want. The longer it veg's, the more yield you'll get. If yield is important to you, then you should veg longer, maybe even LST them.

If height is an issue, then flowering earlier is better since it grows considerably in beginning of flower stage. You can also LST to control plant's height, which will give more yield.

Is the plant from seed or a clone? Some argue that clones should be veg'd for a very short time (2-4 weeks), and then right into 12/12 flowering. I've also seen growers flower plants at 12/12 right from seedlings. If you switch to 12/12 now, the plant will grow veg for at least another week anyway and you will see most veg growth in the first 2-4 weeks of the 12/12 flowering cycle. You can clip your clones anytime up until the end of first week of flowering.

I'm suggesting what the research has taught me. In a nutshell, you can flower now or later. It really depends on your goal for that plant.
