when can you harvest marijuana?

OK guys i have a dumb question.... but rather easy for anyone who knows what they are talking about to answer.

when can you harvest marijuana? (i dont mean hopw to tell when it is mature, i mean what month/months can you harvest?)

My whole plan was just to plant the seed "Durban Poison", give the plant care, and harvest when it turns mature in like 3 months. This is all outside, I
cannot do anything inside, because i still live with my parents. My question is, do the plants only turn ready for harvest in certain months, or do they mature after a certain amount of time!

So tell me if my plan will work:

plant the seed, nurture the plant, water regularly, harvest in like 2-5 months!

if not please tell me speciffically what i must do to properly harvest my weed!

Thanks all!

I think the plants could be ready for harvest anytime of year depending on where you are in the world. You should probably plant your seeds in the beginning of spring when the days are getting longer. That way the plant will have time to grow and then near the end of summer when the days start to get shorter, your plant should switch into flowering. For Durban Poison, the general flowering time is 8-9 weeks.

son they need the shortened daylight of the fall to mature as well. many things to consider including temperature. spring has the longer days good for vegging then in the late summer and fall the daylight hours are fewer which is what causes non-autos to mature basically. hope this helped :eyesmoke:

what region do you live in? look up the different zones, plot your average temps and rainfall for your growing season, also find out when the sun sets and rises. i live in the Midwest so i have to start scoping my plants at the end of September early October our October rains have destroyed a few of my nice outdoor crops, thats just the chance you take. if the weather forecast is looking grim, sometime you have to pick early, or cover them up it thats a reasonable task, almost always it isnt tho. get yourself a good 30x or bigger scope, never blindly trust others or seed info when it comes to the chop, only use that as a reference for when to start flushing and checking for maturity.
