When do i have to move my seedlings to a bigger pot?

I have 4 seedlings from bag seed I'm playing around with. I'm just wondering when I should move them to a bigger container. I don't know sex obviously and likely only have room for one mature plant if I end up getting a lady. That is the container the bottle is there for reference.

Hard to say. Usually when you put an item in for reference, its something very common. Bic lighter, soup can, 2 lt bottle. Something everyone, automatically, knows the size of. Prob got 2 or 3 wks in that pot.

True now looking at my reference item I can see it's not very helpful. Probably half the size of a beer can.

Thanks makes sense to me.

Also the container is advertised that you can leave the seedling in the container and the roots should grow through it and it will become part of the soil. Should I trust that?

Those things only break down if they're constantly wet. I started using them a few years ago for my peppers and tomatoes. I had some problems this year using those with some hot peppers this year. The roots found their way out the hole in the bottom, but the ones that tried to grow through the pot itself took forever to do so, and were constricted by the sides. Weirdest rootballs I've ever seen. Some are made of compressed peat, and some of them are made of unbleached cardboard/paper, I've used both, but not for weed.
The peat ones are usually square and seem to break down a bit more easily.

Don't do that... Soak the seed in at room temperature for 24-48 in darkness. The place in a cup that is atleast 6inch deep. Other wuse you'll have to repot in like 4- ten day or the tap root will it the bottom and more the likely dry and die... And that will cause your root to create side roots prematurly.. These jiffy's are the worst as they dry to quickly if remain unchecked.. The daster you transplant a seedling to a bigger pot the less damage you will cause. After that you have to wait for the root to cover most of the soil and have it the side of it. Otherwise when you go to transplant a lot of the roots get damage.. A 1 liter bottle with whole would be a better choice then that cup

I just checked and one of those holds about as much soil as an expanded Jiffy pellet, so I would just use the pellets and pot up to a solo cup (called that because that's the name of the company that makes them if the stamp on the bottom is to be believed), or something like a margarine tub, or actual small pots, when they have their second set of true leaves and are working on their third.
If you only have room for one adult plant how are you planning on sexing them?
