When do I start giving nutes?

My plant is roughly 6 weeks old and about a foot tall now.

Just started to get a bunch of new growth on the main stem - I transplanted just 2 days ago and I can see steady increase in growth already because of bigger pot I think.

The lower leaves (bottom 2-3) are lighter green and parts of the leaf are brown on the edges? Is this nute burn or is it a deficiency?

upload pics shortly

bottom leaf, 1 of 2 that are showing this.

You can use that but it's slow release nutrients. You have to be careful to not over do it with that stuff or any ferts. I do know the slow release ferts can still be in the soil until the end of harvest. KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

So If i sprinkle just a little on top of the soil, it will eventually get those nutes and I wont be putting my plant in possible danger?

I would sprinkle some onto the soil and then get a little more soil to put over that and then water. KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

Hey Tony,

You should post a picture of the plant...

If yo have been vegging for 6 weeks, I suspect your plant should be taller than 12 inches...

MANY commercial soils have enough nutrients to keep a plant healthy for 6-12 weeks..

The main concern is the pH of the soil/water.... the Ph determines the plants ability to actually access the nutrients in the soil...

Testing the pH of your water is very very very easy..

cheers

I'm growing it outdoors Garden, and for the first 2 weeks it was indoor in poor lighting / air.

I'll upload a pic very soon for you Garden :)

I need a cheap solution to testing the pH of my soil...

as for the pH of my water... I use Natural Spring Water...bottled....

is this ok? and how can i find out ph of soil relatively cheaply?

test the runoff to get an idea of the soil ph, also adjust the water to between 6 and 7. I use a pH tester for the pool with the drops, they are pretty accurate. You can find them anywhere really walmart. lowes.. To adjust the pH I use pH up and down meant for aquariums.

you need to water until there is a good bit of runoff each time! If there is no runoff you are underwatering.
