you have about 7 days worth of good food in a seedling if i remember, i have herd of ppl giving nothing but water for 3 weeks, but ive never given a seedling just water for anyware near that long, i allways give them some fresh potting soil as soon as they have sprouted

i use light nutes in rapid rooters before my seeds even sprout.
have you done a side by side comparison to how much if any differance it makes?? i only ask because ive thaught about doing it myself, but have allways been extra cautious when it comes to seedlings

I don't add nutes right away, but I do soak the cubes with added fulvic and kelp, both proven to help seeds sprout. Plus the kelp has a small nutrient value to help get things started. Love root riot.

i love kelp n seaweed meal and solution, its a fantastic product just a shame there isnt more nitrogen in it or it would be a fantastic complete feed. but its a fantastic plant tonic and great for soaking seeds in

the directions that came with the aero units said to do it this way. and the unit also came with a small bottle of dyna gro nutes. been doing it this way for almost a decade now and (knocks on wood) my germ rate is almost 100%. i use 1mL per gallon so very low EC

I dont use rapid rooters, but I also began starting my seeds in my aero system with about 100PPM of PH'ed nutes. Seems to be working very well for me. I think it reduces any possible stress to have them start at the same level rather than have a sudden change at 1 week old. Plus, when seeds start in soil, they have food from day one.
