The title says it all. I believe my plant has 3-4 weeks left, but the resin production is lacking, imo. The resin is there but then again it's an autoflower and the lights are cfl's.
also u say is an autoflower right? Autos have a short life period, if u say she has like 3 or 4 weeks left then i assume that she just started flowering and u are not supposed to c that much resin and thc production by now. How old is the plant since she sprout? When did u saw the first signs of flowering? Aswer that and we will be able to help u better. Toke on bro =====~~

cannabis does not mature all at once. as calyxes stack they ripen and finish producing, it most likely turns cloudy, the newer calyx being less mature.
some real heavy sativas keep stacking, some form fox tails and dread locks, they may still be clear and not ready while the plant overall is done.

once the trichome goes milky its stopped producing

Your reading comprehension isn't that great I see… but I'm going to assume the Blue Mystic in your signature is the plant that we're all asking about so here goes…

Website says it is a 7-9 week flowering so you're correct in thinking she has another 3-4 weeks… if you can't get to a low budget head shop or smoke shop that sells some pipes n shit to get a low budget 20x scope than my only suggestion would be to harvest at 8 weeks and split the difference because seed companies usually grossly understate their flowering times, though 7-9 weeks is almost every strain I run so this might be fairly accurate.

You can't go by the 'hairs' (stigma?) to determine when to chop. As Grojak said, you need to examine the trichomes, up close and personal. Once you get a few grows under your belt, you'll get a better idea of what a mature plant looks like. You'll still want to use a scope though, even then. It's really the only way to know for sure. Hang in there, buds usually start to take off a couple of weeks before harvest.
