When does it look like the weed you smoke?

Hey folks, got a couple autos that suposidly will be done in a little over a week. so what im wondering is when does it start to look like the weed you buy on the street and not like hairy plant matter?

Looks like longer than a week to me, but that is hard to say by just looking. Do you have something to check the trichomes?

After it dries it will start to look like bud you get from the street, but hopefully never. If you want it to look like street bud you will need to put some in a bag and roll it up and squish it and handle the heck out of it, since that is what happens to street weed.
 
yeah, im thinking more then a week myself, hopefully my wife will understand shes ready to smoke them now lol!
I've got a little 40x loupe to look at trichromes with.
so probably a couple more weeks eh? how long after the hairs recede does it usualyl take? the trichromes currently aqre a mix of clear and cloudy, no amber. I swear i look at it 4 times a day and wonder when its going to look like weed yah smoke
 
Patience is valuable for growing ANY plants. Just tell your wife she's waited this long, why jump the gun and ruin the final product?
 
i would never want my grow to look like weed i bought on the street, i fucked up bad if it looks like street swag.

Not to mention most street weed has never been cured.
 
When you trim and dry it, it will look like what you're after. Only better.
Let it finish, do your trim and dry and you will see. Good luck, and yea, looks like you may have more than a week to go.
 
main thing cure it out at least 3 months in jars youll be glad you did trust me my last grow i cured a full 3 months and was some smooth and spank your ass weed i let some of it out the jars after two weeks was good to but 3 months is way better 4 sure
 
Yeah don't get impatient at the end! You may need a stronger loop than 40 to see the trichs. Also keep those leaves green all the way to the end if you can. Once she is done it is going to take some time to dry and cure. Once my plants are done I know it is going to take another month before it is ideal to smoke.
 
thanks for the feedback guys, im thinking i will let them grow until around the 30th. harvesting on the 20th was the plan based on the 75-90 day from seed harvest time listed on the site i got them from.
I've bene trying to keep the leaves as green as i can, im using bloom nutes to feed, but ive been doing a little foilar feeding with light grow nutes, being careful not to get it on the bud sites, just the fan leaves.
My loupe works fairly good for seeing trichromes, there still a little small but if i hold it steady i can get a good look.
I plan on drying and curing when im done, though some of it is only going to cure for 2 weeks or so. Hopefully the smoke should be good, the shorter one looks like its completely covered in crystals close up and i cant wait to smoke it. the taller one dosent have quite as many but still looks really nice. ive started looking at other weed i get with my loupe just to compare now lol.

I have a 40x...and a 30x, I can see the trichs quite well through both :).
 
I have one that goes from 60 to 100 and I can see them crazy good like a freakin science experiment. Be careful with the foliar feeding don't want any mold issues now, sure you aware of all that. Bloom is good but make sure the ratio is still even, I use something like 7-9-5 though flower. So still plenty of N and it has the micros as well. Be careful with super bloom stuff with little N and crazy amounts of P just give them what they need and they will always let you know....But yeah looks good you are getting close!
 
using sensi grow and bloom nutes they have really good ratios i think, the guy at the hydro shop recomended them to me. i have really good ventilation and im using a wetting agent so mold shouldnt be a problem i hope.
when i see hairs go brown and recede how long after that aproximatly?
 
I say a month. Gotta brown the pistils and swell. The swell is really important in the last 2 weeks.
 
you really think another month? it is an autoflowering strain currently 73 days old from germination (pic is from last weekend) on the 30th they will be 90 days old total breeder website says 60-80 days for harvest, if i went another month from now that'd be over 100 days
