When does pistil growth start?

My first grow and I would like to know when I can tell for sure by seeing pistils or not. My plants are outside and are begining to have alternate node and shoots came out at the nodes about 1.5 weeks ago and new little bits are sprouting out of THOSE nodes. Ugh so many nodes...

if your in the usa you should be seeing pistills very soon
