When it comes to sativa plants ?

I know that there should be 50/50 clear to brown trichomes at harvest but does that rule still stick with a sativa plant, seeing as it's a body high instead of a couch lock would you still want the brown trichomes on the plant and if not what would be the indicator of trichomes when it's time to harvest?
Thanks in advance

He pretty much summed it up, but yes. Cloudy trichomes are what your looking for i believe its a sign of maturity in the psychoactive change in the chemicle process of the THC. In any case i don't think amber trichomes are supposed to be the majority. What week of flowering are you on may I ask?

So i just harvested a bhutan thimphu. Took 16 weeks for them to be about 95 percent cloudy and 5 percent amber. Its definitely not the stoned feeling we are used to with hybrids. You almost think you arent high until you try to do something. I think they pack a bit more punch with a little more amber, next time gonna up the amber to 15 percent.

Isn't AMBER indicative of degradation starting???

My understanding is that AMBER is the colour of degrading chemicals.
But, by waiting to see AMBER, you can be sure that PEAK POTENCY has been reached
(and actually breached).

Maybe I'm wrong....?

Yes, amber is degraded. Try taking a bud every few days over the course of a few weeks beginning as soon as you think it might be ready. Cure them out and do some testing. You'll get a much better idea of the differences that way and you'll have a better idea of what you like for next grow. Good luck!

Not wrong at all. One time i left on vacation and by the time i got back, this plant was like 85 percent amber, practically falling over. It was SUPER SUPER stoney, and the effect was extremely hard hitting. So from this mishap, ive learned to shoot for a bit of amber to get more of a punch.
