When should I start training / trimming my plants?

Hey everybody. I’m growing 4 bluedream plants inside a 3/3 tent under 600w / 250true watt LED fixture in a soil medium. Veg is going quite well but I’m wondering when I should start training my plants? Any links to videos or tips would be greatly appreciated .

Plants are in 5 gallon pots and are about a foot tall at the moment.




I was planning on switching my lights from LED to a 600w HPS closer to flower. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the importance of truewatts when I purchased my LED.

First you top them, now is a good time. Train them later when there is something to train. Super crop at net level as needed, assuming you net them later. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. How many times should I top my plant? Should I trim any of the fan leaves?

Top them once and keep most of your fan leaves.

i wouldn't.

Top it, then LST to HST. Tried and true. A bunch of videos on YouTube. Good luck.
