When should i switch lighting time?!

When should i switch the lighting and should i go 18/6 or 12/12? Ive been running 24/7 for past month month n a half under t5 gro-lux lights seem to do great. Its a lil more than 2 ft tall now i believe its 7th wave strain... Any opinions??

Plants can stretch to 2-3 times their size in the first three weeks of flower.

Height and width are typically the determining factors of when to switch.

You can veg them as long as you want. If you have the space, I'd go a little longer for a better yield. Just remember, if they are 3ft tall when you switch to 12/12, they will probably end somewhere around 4ft.

18/6 to keep them in veg, 12/12 to flower. Your call.

What about with autoflower plants? Is the 18/6 better or 24/7

I run 20/4. More light than 18/6 but still some rest.

I just go straight from 24/7 to 12/12. Look up negative temperature differential to help limit the stretch if you want.
