when to move??

I have my plant in a red cup, it has been in there for 20 days and i foolishly didnt use clear cups. Now i cant see the root, when shud i move the plant into a 3 gal. pot???? Any suggestions? Any ways to know when there ready to be moved? And what is the best method for transfering the plant.

Clear cups would have been the mistake roots don't like light!!

red party cups 16 to 20 oz are good for 5 to 6 weeks in most cases

once you have say 5 internodes you can transplant with less stress and if you submerge the cup in a bucket/bowl of water, let it drain then gently move it to the big pot it will reduce the stress

Hey, might want to get something smaller than a three gal pot and grow it a bit longer and then pot up the 3gal.

thnx guys will find something smaller then 3 gal. haha so the red cups were a good idea.So far i have 2 internodes so ill wait for the 5 xP. Punk what size pot do u suggest next??

I go from red party cups to 2 gallon pots, but I like to keep em a bit smaller, it's really all about how long you intend to veg and how big you want your plants to grow

hey i started in red party cups in soil about 10 days ago . and now im wanting to set up aeroponic/hydroponic system in the next week or 2 how would i switch them being diffrent medium.

I just want the biggest yeild out of my plants so what ever can give me the best results, im prolly going to keep my plnts in the veg cycle for about 2-3 weeks
