When to switch to flowering nutrients?

Hi guys,

Currently im using 20-20-20 nutes in 1/8 solution, foliar feeding daily, and in the water every other watering.

Im just wondering when I should switch to flowering nutrients (im using 8-34-32). My plant has just got the first few pairs of pistils a few days ago, should I do a transition period and use both at 1/16 strength? or switch to flowering nutes straight away?

I start using flowering nutes as soon as I flip. I use 2 teaspoons of tiger bloom, 2 tablespoons of big bloom, 1 tablespoon of bud candy, and a 1/2 teaspoon of superthrive.

Wait until the stretch is over as they have a lot of growing to do when you see that stop and the pistils coming out of the future cola then you switch (preflowers do not count)

Don't be in a hurry to cut down on your N, outside of overwatering probably the most common error in growing. Your plants are increasing biomass at an incredible rate now and cutting back on N is going to effect the plant later in flowering. You are going to need to learn to read the plant and what it wants with simple questions like: Is she as green as she was before stretch started? If no you are lacking N, how do the leaf tips look any sign of nute burn? NO then you are golden. Granted each strain is different more or less sensitive to nutes and what they are going to need during flower, but remember N is used to transport your other nutes around the plant so be careful about when to cut back. The main story is always going to be reading the leaves of the plant they will tell you a complete story of the plants health.
Good Luck

You should switch to flowering after photosynthesis is induced. I like to give mine some Grow for the first week or so which contains high levels of nitrogen. Like canefan said N is very important through out the plants lfe. You want your plant to be able to store as much N possible before flipping them and totally remove the Grow from your feeding program. This will help with deficiencies later on. Even though your bloom food contains N it is only low enough to block out deficiencies really. Even though you are using 20-20-20 which contains high levels of N-P-K you want to bring down your N and focus more on your P-K at this point. That 8-34-32 should do the trick. What exactly are you using? How big are your ladies and how old? Can you give us some info and pics would help out alot? Hope this helps buddy.

Here is my grow journal:https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/479778-my-first-grow-auto-critical.html

is the latest picture of her. Its an auto strain and is almost 4 weeks old now. As its an auto i've not had to induce the flowering obviously hence why im unsure of when to switch nutrients

My point exactly... This is why I ask for more info if you would of told us this we would of had different answers for you. Plant looks real nice btw! I would begin feeding flowering nutes as soon as you see she is flowering. You say you see some pistils already so I say you can begin giving them your bloom food in a week or so. I myself like to feed both in transition but thats up to you.
