.

Hi Steven

You don't want to top your side branches until they grow above the level of your two meristems (top growth).

You want to produce a table top flat canopy top.

Are you growing outside?

.

.

The flat canopy top isn't as important, no inverse square law with the sun.

Leave the side branches to grow out a bit before topping.

.

These are my clones, topped twice but the side branches haven't been topped yet.

also question what’s the yield on a plant outdoor from seed like mine?? i don’t want to get my hopes up i know i’m not gunna get a Half P but maybe with some tips and tricks you guys can guide me too! let me know the yield harvest dry amount on a plant usually? couple oz??? or or soemthing. i have some auto flowers seeds coming too and another seed gelato blue 41 so let me know. if i can get a good yield on 3 plants or 5 or whatever then maybe i’ll just stick with these and a few more and not want to grow 6-12 plants. my thinking is to be good for a while and maybe make wax for myself and friends

I agree with Hobbes.
The only other suggestion I can make would be devising some means of support for the exterior of the girls.
I made some simple round cages from fencing. As the side branches develop, I train them through the cage.
Works really well.
As far as yield, mine usually range from 8 oz to about 2 pounds(that's a big girl in my avatar).

damn!! yeah yeah i figure they grow more straight up if they had support and not having to lift themselves... does. tomatoe cage work? do they sells cages at the hydro stores? or home depot? i will get a cage for them this week. and 8 oz to 2 pounds!!!! that’s dope asf man. wow ok cool so i won’t be going away from all this will a little lol. Well rn they are in 3 gallon pots, in like 2 months i’ll switch them into a 5 gallon bucket or something so they can really go big! let me know when to transfer too. if i can get 8-10 oz from each plant i willllll be overrrrrr ecstatic

Yes, there are cages in garden stores. Just try to find one that is wide enough for your shrubbery.
I would skip the 5gal and use at least a 7gal.
This has a lot of knowledge about various training techniques.
