When to transition from 24/0 seedling to 18/6 Veg?

I just started up some seedlings and they are getting to be about 2" tall with their embryonic leaves still. I currently have them on 24 hours daylight (6500K CFLs), and I was wondering when I shoudl transition to 18/6.

I could not find this anywhere on RIU, so that is why I am posting this. Thanks fellaz!

You can run them 24 hours until you flower. I think they grow a little faster that way. But I'm sure that we will get 200 opinions on this..

I have mine under floros and they are on 24hrs. Im putting them under a hid now. I will run 24hrs for a week and then go to 18 for a week or 2 then go to 12 and 12

You get different opinions because it depends on the strain and where more of it's genes come from so peoples experiences vary.

If you settle on running clones you can compare a few at the same time given different amounts of sleep. Some plant genes are used to areas that can get 24/7 light at times naturally so no problems, others aren't as suited to that.

It's just like how different strains have different flower finishing times, tastes, smells, stones, look a bit different, or have different nutrient levels they do best at.

id keep on 24/0 till you are ready to goto 12/12.
i have had plants under 24/0 never turning off the light for 14 weeks before i went to 12/12.
