When to transplant and add nutes?

Hi! I have a few questions that have been on my mind lately. One of them is, my babies are about 4 inches tall going on their 4th tier and theyre in 1 gallon buckets and I am using happy frog soil. I plan on giving them nutes real soon but would it be logical to transfer them into new 3 gallon buckets with fresh happy frog soil then add nutes for the first time or to start using nutes while theyre still in the 1 gallon buckets? I have the stress related nutes like route 66, thrive alive B-1 green and sugar daddy to help with the stress of transplanting. Should i feed the babies these nutes before or after transplanting? And the directions say to spray the foilage with the mixture of the one gallon of water and 4 teaspoons of thrive alive B-1 green. Is it safe to spray the plants and if so should i use a full strength or half strength? (pertaining to the thrive alive) And when i make the mixture of the sugar daddy and the route 66 it says to mix 2 teaspoons of each per gallon of water during the transplanting stage, should i use a half strength of 1 teaspoon of sugar daddy and route 66 or just go with the 2 teaspoons of each?

I made the mistake of transplanting and nuting at the same time. Got a mild minor case of nute burn once the plants hit the new soil in combo with the feed. If they look like they need food either nute now and wait a bit to transplant or just transplant and water. If they aren't rootbound now then a weak nute may help. Just don't feed and throw them into fresh hot soil at the same time without caution.

Agree...transplant then wait and feed. The new soil probably has some nutes in it - so best to wait. I don't think foliar feeding is not a great idea indoors since it encourages mold - I did it religiously for my first few grows - but not now - no difference. I would consider a 1/2 strength dose of Thrive Alive post transplant...but it's not a must have.

Good Luck

ok cool thanks! It says to mix 4 teaspoons per gallon of water of the thrive alive B-1 green. So if i just use two teaspoons of the thrive alive B-1 green, would it work if i just feed it through the soil or should i stick to spraying the leaves?

yea almost all potting soils have some kind of nutes in them, so yea, run some water through your soil @least once or twice then hit em with ur nutes. good luck.
