Is it too soon to trim some fan leaves at 28 days so that other parts get enough light?
Leaves catch the light, in turn making energy for the plant to growIs it too soon to trim some fan leaves at 28 days so that other parts get enough light?
It's not bro science. It's basically simulating the azimuth of the sun. Nothing wrong with that as grow lights generally have strength issues based on foot print. One of my buddies has his light on a turner attached to a timer. This does full circles in the light cycle he chooses.Defoliation is a waste of energy that could go into your buds. Obviously the fan leaves may block some lower bud sites, but who cares? A little trim up underneath for airflow is all that's needed. A trick I learned from an old timer is to constantly rotate your plant 1/4 turn everyday. Probably more broscience but ive noticed more even bud growth since doing it.
I tend to top or else my plants get 7+ feet in hempy buckets lol so they end up like 4 feet wide instead. Turning them daily helps get each side under the most intense part for Atleast the day, so it seems to make sense. It's not bro science. It's basically simulating the azimuth of the sun. It's a bit much for me but he sees benefit from it.
