Where did my humidity go?!

Hi All,

Been using my t5 for the last couple weeks coupled with a small table fan and humidifier to keep it up near 60-70% and nearly 75 degrees (F). I decided last night to set up my cool tube with MH and 6" inline with carbon filter to finish the veg stage, the fan is working great and the light is giving off little heat. My only issue is that the humidity TANKED and is sitting about 20-25%, even with the humidifier cranked all the way up.

It's very clear the ventilation system is removing much of the humidity and not crazy about leaving wet towels to hang in my tent. I've attached a photo, doubt it'll help much. Any ideas would be much appreciated, cheers!

Put the humidity gauge down where the plants are not on top of the light. It could be %20 more at their level especially if the filter is pulling from the same level as your gauge

Let me guess, you live in a cold climate and it is winter now. Cold air cant hold nearly as much moisture as warm air. You can have snow and ice all over the ground and almost none in the air. Adding to the problem besides winter is home heating. It can be a very dry heat. Home humidity can drop to 10-15%. Simple answer is a humidifier and up your water schedule a bit.

Thanks for reaching out. I stuck the humidity gauge by the plant and got a little less than a 10% spike.

YES! I'm in Mass, cold AF up here. I have my small humidifier on full blast, worked great until I installed the inline fan. I'm going to purchase a variable speed controller for the fan even though it came with one installed from factory, I believe she's sucking too hard (normally a good thing ). Is this ridiculous?

What's it at now with the gauge at plant level? I'm experiencing the same thing now. I got a mini humidifier today and it made the tent shoot up to 86 degrees. I took it out and put two wet towels in there and it's now 81 and higher RH than with the humidifier. Its 81 and 47 RH so wet towels are good enough for me at this point
