is there any where online you can buy them and import them? trying to search online but i don't actually know what there called. They're in China. They have metal shops out the Wazoo in China. They probably pay a buck a case for them there in the home land.
do you have any links to some? i tried search metal casing, led casing, led frames, so many different things cant find any >.<alibaba
You would think just providing cool parts to diy'ers would be more lucrative like cases HEAT SINKS! Lens options, cut to length and screw together extrusions ect ect .I've been looking at LED cases, does anyone know how or where they are made? or a place i could order a few from that are pre built? i'd like to try and put a lighting system together that could possibly be a future prototype for an actual led light product
Its just stamped steel. Any competent machine shop could make one to your specs.I've been looking at LED cases, does anyone know how or where they are made? or a place i could order a few from that are pre built? i'd like to try and put a lighting system together that could possibly be a future prototype for an actual led light product
The thing is, bunching all the LEDs together is a poor configuration. It's much better to have the LEDs spread out to give an even light spread and better heat dissipation. It's why boards, strips, or multiple COBs are the standard for good lights.I've been looking at LED cases, does anyone know how or where they are made? or a place i could order a few from that are pre built? i'd like to try and put a lighting system together that could possibly be a future prototype for an actual led light product
You can find various manufacturers on Alibaba but will need to find offered molds that would house your components without major alterations to avoid a mold fee. If you are planning on building any quantity at all it would be well worth it to pay a mold fee and collaborate with the manufacturer to make your design happen.I've been looking at LED cases, does anyone know how or where they are made? or a place i could order a few from that are pre built? i'd like to try and put a lighting system together that could possibly be a future prototype for an actual led light product
That depends. I have a setup where it is necessary to keep the cobs close together for best coverage. For a flat horizontal canopy, sure, spreading out that LES is the best bet.The thing is, bunching all the LEDs together is a poor configuration.
