Where do I find amber trichomes?

I have a kids hobby microscope, one of those 100x/300x/600x deals for about 25 bucks. I grabbed a leaf from the middle of the main cola, and stuck it under 100x. At that magnification, 5 or 6 trichomes are visible at a time along the leaf edge, and all had amber tops.
Harvest time?
Or is there someplace else I should check their color at?

Amber triches are one way of predicting ripeness. Really fat calyxs and retracted pistil are others.
You can harvest anytime now the more amber triches the more couch lock until at some point degradation kills the taste and potency all together. There's a window to harvest.
