Where do I top?

What's up guys, four plants ready to top I presume, mainlining is the plan. "Top at the 3rd node" do I count the first set of leaves (above cotyledons) as a node, even though they "died off"? Stem would seem kinda short imo.

In my opinion they're ready. I just topped mine and they are about the same size. I always top somewhere between the 3rd and the 5th nodes.

I understand where to cut, just not sure at what node when mainlining considering the 3rd node on one of the plants is rather close to the soil. I don't think it'd look right. Idk. @Drug

count up from the bottom
also i would count true leaves as nodes not the sprout leaves and starter leaves
