Where do you take clones from?

LOL, my female is only 8 inches tall, doesnt have any branches, so I'm guessing its impossible to take a cutting for a clone? Help me out..

wait a couple months and the newest hormones, which will root the easiest, will be from the lower branches and get older as you go up the plant and in turn will likely be the harder to clone.

see though, colas are made up of the meristem and branches, so it should be putting out little branches at least even if its just focusing on growing up and not outwards.


How far is the light away and what kind? have any pics? How many nodes does it have?

thats what im saying,there more than likely side growth,but no where near big for clones

I've got a similar problem. Mine has leaves on each side, but no real branches, and only two nodes. I think it's from the plant stretching for the light, seems to make sense.

I like to wait until it's got 8 nodes are so on it before taking cuttings and that the branches growing are starting to alternate nodes. Let your plant mature a bit more before trying to clone it, they'll be easier to manage/grow.

New strong healthy growth, preferably a growth tip, from the bottom regions of the plant. Aim for softer stems and about 3-5 inches of stem length.
