Wondering where the best place online is to get LEDs similar to these.
The ones I have are similar to this. They were cheaper made in China ones I got off amazon years back, but they actually still work great. I will take a heat sink vs a built in fan(built to fail fire hazard) any day. Cree brand COB LED chips and Meanwell drivers were also a plus. They are perfect for veg during the hot summer. I don't need all those different spectrum lights, white is fine. I messed with them for years and seems more like a sales gimmick just like all these over priced nutrients out there. I also like how I can raise each one individually with a sometimes uneven canopy.
Also want to add these cheapo hunks of metal are actually great in veg surpassing my expectations. Haven't tried it in flower yet. The LED chips look unprotected and fragile, but the frame actually seems to be high quality. I think the chips are actually under 1w each which surprises me. Says output is 1178 micromoles. Uses 660-710 watts. Takes up about a 4x4 area. 8 bars, each bar has 240 chips, mostly 3100k with some enhanced red. I prefer COB over SMD but this actually doesn't seem bad.
