The higher the wattage the better, same with more lights. you trying to do only 1 plant? Daylight/cool cfl for veg and warm/soft white for Flowering, Check the Kelvin for the lights... 6500k is around for daylight, around 5500 for cool and warms are like anything below 3000 (approx). A mixture of both also would work good for both stages... such as half cool half warm
