Where to cut clones¿

hi guys.. ive looked everywhere and actually found a couple good diagrams..but not enough...

i need to know exactly how to take cuttings from my mommy plant and have her grow 2 back in its place...

they say leave a node..etc etc...but does any1 have a link to a great pic diagram?

i really dont wanna hurt my mommy

its best to use a lower side branch and you will cut about a 3-4 inch clone, cut at an angle just below a node.

cutting a top will get you 2 branches but the hormone content for making roots is much lower in the growing tops. if you wanna work on it for awhile just start toping erly and top those tops and so on than you will be left with planty of branching... srry no pictures

some say to take clones from the top which is good i always use lower branches though they seem to root faster for me

so if i cut on bottom of plant where i intend to...i can cut a branch with 3-4 nodes and leave 1 node on the plant yes? then those 2 sections will become 2 branches?

sry if im confusing something simple but im a nerd for details and i really wanna maximize this mommy

this says use tops but like i said i can root side branches quicker than tops

cut about a quarter of an inch under a node and you are gonna want to slice the bottom of it with a 45 degree angle ...and i suggest you get some rooting hormone gel or something of that nature to get it started well

kewl..i have everything..rooting gel, even bubble-cloner (DIY), and peat pellets...but they say just water is as good with some aspirin...imma try everything but the cut is all im worried about....i want the mommy to grow 2 shoots after i take one from her...i've heard some people taking the cutting and nothing growing back i dont wanna be that person..lol

as long as there is a node below where you cut on the branch that node that is left on the branch will send up new branches

yea buddy thats the stuff think about it right, so if a branch will grow from each node than as long as there is a node left on the branch you cut than the node will push out a new branch and you will have your healthy clone hopfully with a few/ couple nodes on it... a branch will not grow new nodes on its own but a node will grow a branch. a branch with no nodes is just a dead branch

If you can, by all means make some "Willow Water". Google for instructions on how to make it. Use this instead of store bought rooting hormone, it is far superior and free. Also use some willow water in your bubble cloner.
