Where to exhaust grow…..

I’ve read a lot of different tips on where to dump the exhaust but I’m not sure the best route to go. Not first grow, but first time setting up carbon scrubber and exhaust fan. Some say go out somewhere in the attic, some say connect to where the dryer dumps. Here’s the issue. I’m in an illegal state. No med no rec. We also get alot of cold and snow. The dryer dumps out the wall that’s closest to the sidewalk and we live in a city. It’s probably 4 feet away from the sidewalk. Would you feel comfortable using this as a spot to exhaust? Does it take out the smell 100%? Also worried about all the damn snow being melted off there and looking suspicious. Should I go out the attic? Then was told to be worried about FLIR if I do that…I’m running a Mars Hydro TS3000w. Am I over thinking this? Does this not even put out enough of a heat signature to be worried about FLIR? Should I even be worried about it? Please help where TF should I dump this…

If you go up through the attic you still want to vent outside through a vent under the soffit. If you vent directly into the attic during the winter when it's cold the warmer air from the exhaust will form condensation in the attic which can lead to mold.

Correct. Regardless of what room it goes out of, it will be vented outside. I was more so wondering if it’s “safer” to go out existing dryer spot, but then be worried about the faintest smell being exhausted right by the sidewalk. Or if I should go out somewhere in the roof but then I’m worried about flir…am I overthinking with the set up I’m running?

Why would you be worried about FLIR with a 450W LED?
I think the smell going out onto the street is more likely to get attention.

Exhausting outside might not be the best option for you. I vent through my window during the summer, but if I were to do that in the window, the air being sucked into my small house through cracks around the door and dryer vent would freeze me out within hours. So, I just vent back into my room and use a dehumidifier. That way, I can take advantage of the heat produced by my light to completely heat my place.

It's a 450W LED.
I don't think it's going to heat anything other than the top of the tent.
Seems to be more worried about the coppers.

Yea I’m just being overly paranoid…so in your opinion the heat dumping outside from a 450w won’t be enough to raise eyebrows? If they were to even go over my place that is…I have never vented out the house so I am probably over thinking this shit

So say I vent same room, which is what I have done before. You don’t think that 4 plants in a 3x3 is going to be enough to diminish the amount of co2 and negatively effect the plants? It’s in a fairly large basement.

The tent is in a basement and you're venting from the roof?
What little heat you generate from the LEDs is gonna dissipate all the way en route to your discharge.
Totally overthinking it.

You don't need to vent that, especially if it's an illegal grow. If it's in the basement, you'll probably need the heat that the light generates anyway. Just keep an eye on your environmental parameters, temps and RH.

yes there’s a man door in the basement on the chimney. I have to look at it better to see if this was an actual fireplace at one point and they just blocked it off or if it was for a boiler or something.

If you vent directly outside you'll still be able to catch the smell of marijuana in flower. Definitely not as strong but it'll still be there slightly.

Are you saying that you can still smell it slightly coming out the exhaust when pulled through a carbon filter?

My room is at the front of the house but I vent out the back.
Just because of the smells.
I went with what I can sleep with at night.
Glad I did when my cheap carbon filter began to fail, mid flower.

As others have said, if your basement is cool enough with a dehumidifier and a scrubber to circulate and scrub smells, you should be alright.
Have a backup plan to reduce heat, or at least do a test run without plants to see how it heats up.

It’s not worth the knock at the door,
Don’t vent straight out to the sidewalk.

Could OP not just put a thermal blocking material over the top of the tent if your worried about thermal imagery...

I’m not worried about it getting pick up in a basement, I’m worried about the heat print being expelled out the house IF I were to exhaust it straight outside.
