Where to shop?

I'm planning to try this bubbleponics now that I've seen all the journals and "rave reviews".. :)

I think most of this stuff I can get from my local (fish) pet store:

* Air Pump for aquarium

* Air pump tubing

* CFL light setup (~6 per plant ideally)

But what about these?

* 3-3.5 inch net pots

* Hydroton clay balls

* Rockwool Cubes or small sponges or Aerogarden Sponge

* NUTES???

Anything else I'm forgetting?

And is there a sizing chart like how many air bubblers or how much pump I need per plant? I'm thinking a 5 gallon resevoir which is wider than tall (to get my plant lower). So fill up to bottom of netcups right? 1 plant to start off and if she begins to show female, I will take 3 clones off that, so 4 total. I will likely chop all the lower leave/stems and just grow the main cola up.

Lastly, do I need to like get my PhD in Hydro now or something? I understand pH (I have a pool) and 6.0 sounds like a good goal. Can I use phUP and phDown to balance it - or something else better? I take it no muriatic acid or baking soda right? :)

I do have this info:

If you don't have a local hydroponic store in your area then GOOGLE those products,you can purchase them all online.You also need a ppm and ph meter,they have combo units.They sell ph up and ph down that are made for general hydroponics you can find online.As far as aeration the more bubbles the better so invest in a decent air pump.What are your plans for ventilation and odor control??

I buy everything online but I won't buy hydroponic equipment online. I just don't trust those vendors or big brother. :)

There is a hydro shop here in town, actually I think there's a bunch of them. I guess I will have to mosey in and see what all I can find. I was hoping I could find some of this stuff at Home Depot? :)

I got two more to add to my list which I forgot:

* Hydrotron rocks
* Water hose splitter (5-way)

As for odor control, I plan to exhaust my grow box out of the closet and into the attic. That should do it. If not, I have a box of carbon and also a Febreze TrueAir carbon filter fan which works awesome. I used this during my last harvest and you couldn't smell a thing.

As for cooling, I don't know. Quite honestly, I'm switching from soil to hydro in hopes it will bring my overall temperature down a bit. My last (first) grow was in soil with some bagseed. It went OK (just harvested) but it was too damn hot the entire time. The temp was tipping 100, but usually around 95, 90 when the lights were off. I am looking to add ventilation into the closet (also my server room) and that will hopefully draw cool air into the closet from elsewhere in the house. That should lower the air temp some. I'm hoping the hydro resevoir will also lower the air temp some. I'm not sure what else to do short of porting my home A/C system to have a run into my closet/growbox. I'm also looking at these mini AC units but I think most of them use water or ice and cost $$$$.

:(

I already have the CFLs - both colors - and everything necessary to split/power them. That rig is solid, it's everything else I'm worried about. :)

Hose splitter you can find at Home Depot,but hydroton is only available at a hydro store or online.There are millions of people that order indoor gardening equipment online that grow veggies alone.I've been ordering my equipment online for years no prob.,but if you have a local urban gardener store go there.As for heat good ventilation is the key.There is no difference in temps between hydro and soil.A/C utilizes free on not water or ice to cool,and you can find good deals on a window a/c unit on craigslist.I got a 5200 btu window a/c brand new with remote control for $60 on craigslist.
