Which brand root stimulant.. Atami B*Cuzz OR Green Fuse?

Hello, I am just a few parts away from starting my first grow and would like to get some opinions on what brand of root stimulant I should use. I managed to narrow my choices down to Atami B*Cuzz and Green Fuse's brand of root stimulant. I am leaning toward trying Atami B out since I like watching some of their hydro youtube vids.

Price wise I can get a 32oz of Atami B's stimulant for $30 OR a quart of Green Fuse around $25 ish.

I am not for sure but I am under the impression I should not only soak the new cubes in this solution but also add to my res to feed? When soaking the cubes the ph should be around 5.5 ish..?

Since I am just starting out I do not want to shell out more than $30 for root stimulant until I get at least one grow in.

If you have other brand suggestions I am open.

Thanks a mil!

Really for starting seedlings but eventually once they get going I will be starting clones as well.

well I've never heard of using root stimulants on seedlings, probably a good idea, I'd use a powder for that definitely, but as for cloning you cant beat gel

I guess I am just confused on the difference between rockwool conditioner and root stimulant. From my research it seems like you could use one or the other to prep your blocks for new seedlings or clones. Green fuse has rockwool conditioner but I also seen a youtube clip where Atami B*Cuzz used their root stimulant to soak cubes to start seeds. So, It seems like a good idea for me to just use Atami's root stimulant to prep my cubes provided that I adjust the ph.

Plus it seems like I can also use the root stimulant to add to my res even after my seedlings get going.

I know....what a rookie

Root stimulants contain IBA(indole-3-butyric acid) a type of auxin or plant hormone that induces root growth, rockwool conditioners are more to maintain PH for the seedling to grow. Two different things

sm315 - Thank you! I didnt think I was going to get a straight answer.

So really, I could just soak the rockwool in ph 5.5 water. I do not necessarily need the conditioner? I could then use root stimulant during my feeding process once they get going?

Rock wool like any other cloning medium is simply there to hold moisture and give the roots something soft to grow in. Aslong as the water isn't too acidic(5.5 for me is a little low.. I'd want between 6-7 personally) you should be fine, just make sure the plant stays moist, check on it in a week when it starts getting really light in color and there should be some roots.

Thank you again for breaking that down for me. Makes perfect sense. I will save the money on the conditioner and just soak in water that has the ph between what you suggested. (I think I got the 5.5 off a retail site suggesting that for soil.)

I will just pick up that stimulant for use once the seedlings get a good start and are ready to get transplanted to larger blocks.

I've seriously been able to get my clones going with rain water and a peat pellet greenhouse from the dollar store. Lots of places will make it sound like it's really complicated, but the main thing you have to worry about is the plant loosing moisture, or being too cold. Keep it covered, keep it misted, don't let it get too below 20 Celsius and it's usually about 7-10 days. Even my root powder (Stim Root #1) I got for like 6$ from home depot.
