ok so i have been reading alot and have a composition book full of notes. i keep reading and reading and its just all confusing to me. i wanna go hydro cause its quickest way to grow, im planning on growing over the summer so id have about 2 months. i read that aero takes 6 weeks. its difficult but im ok with that, i like the hands on stuff. but before i start i have some questions

which is best and quickest?
ebb & flow
bubbleponics (really interested in this one but heard mixed reviews)
aero (heard this is about 6 weeks)
drip
DWC (heard this gives big yeild with minimal care)

and what size net cups should i use for the veg and flowering stages?
i heard 4 in is good for veg and flowering
i just want max yeild for my
3 1/2 ft wide
2 feet in
and 4 feet high
space

please answers would help so much even a PM

(note: this will be my first grow but if it works good during the summer it will be my permanent system)

I highly recommend you start with a soiless mix in pots. Pro-mix, sunshine mix #4 etc etc. Master that, then move onto hydro. The fact that you seem to beleive that a method of growing will have some kind of influence on a particular strains ripening time tells me you havent read enough about basic propagation, growing and flowering. A 10 week strain takes 10 weeks. You are welcome to harvest at 8 or 6 or 2 weeks if you'd like but it will not be ideal. Also, DWC and bubbleponics are the same thing. DWC does not work w/o air stones and the more air stones the better.
Soil is best for beginners and there are seasoned pros who have grown thousands of huge crops who still will only use soil. The soil provides a great buffer for possible mistakes and imperfections. With hydro there is much much less forgiveness.

Also given the fact that you only have 4ft in height you have very little room for any kind of hydro setup utilizing a resevoir underneath it.

After you have mastered your soil grow you should look into NFT as well. Its another great hydro setup.

well the thing is im basing it alot off the bc northern lights bloombox. the size of the grow box that is. im not looking for like massive amounts but wanna make the most out of the space. as far as the res, i was gonna have it outside the box for easy change and what not. but basically from what you say the grow system will not effect speed of growing? because i have read alot that says soil takes forever and hydro is quicker. would it be best to put about 8 3 gallon pots and just keep it in the box from seeds and change the light cycle?

was doing some reading on high times. i went to danny dankos section for beginners. this is what he said about hydro

"Hydro offers the benefits of faster growth and feeding precision, and the system is easier to keep clean"

If you have not started yet go for a soil grow its much easier/cheaper/low maintenance and more forgiving if anything goes wrong.
Its a myth that hydro pulls of bigger yeilds. Yes it may veg and flower earlier but wont be ready to harvest any quicker than a soil grown plant if you have the skills.

Young BUck is correct. WHen hydro is dialed in absolutely perfectly it will outperform soil any day. Your plants will grow quicker, but they wont RIPEN any quicker. You are talking about doing a 2 month grow, thats it. Theres no sense in spending a bunch of money and time fabricating and learning how to use a hydro system that you will just have to tear down and sell or store somewhere. Buy some pots and some soil and be done with it. Learn as much as you can and move on.

I highly recommend reading Jorge cervantes Marajuana growers bible 4-150 times cover to cover.

ok well im gonna start with soil. in my veg area (1 1/2 ft X 2ft.) all pots 4 inches
then im gonna have 8 3 gallon pots in my flowering area (3 1/2 ft X 2ft)

this is just for the summer, after the summer if i have good results ill think of hydro since im moving, id still like to know either way what system is best. not about ripening quicker or anything. just an overall of best hydro. that way i can do more in depth research over the summer

That sounds like a great, and very realistic plan. As fasr as which is best totally depends on your personal situation. If your growing 200 plants then a flood table system is easiest and cheapest to setup and operate. If your only doing a few large plants, look into a waterfarm style system which usually utilizes DWC/BUBBLEPONICS. Flooded tube is similar to Nutrient Film technique, both of which are becomming very popular. Personally I am going to be building a Flooded tube table at some point in the near future.

check out this amazing journal https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/149998-heaths-flooded-tube-vertical.html I am going to build a system similar to this just in the conventional horizontal configuration as I am short on vertical height just like you.
