Ok, so I am almost ready to buy some lights for my tent. I am growing in a SeretJardin DR120 which measures 46" x 46" x 78".
(or close to 4ft x 4ft x 6ft). I will be buying lighting kits that come with a ballast, a cool tube, a bulb, and an air-cooled rectangular hood. I will be growing 4 plants.
I understand that when using an air cooled hood, you lose quite a few lumens from your bulbs. Since my tent's width and length is pretty big, I don't think one light will be enough to cover all four plants, so I will be buying two separate kits so each bulb will evenly cover two plants. My question is should I go with two 600w bulbs, or two 400w bulbs? I'm sure most of you will think two bulbs is overkill, but I am going for maximum yield, and like I said before, the air cooled tubes will take a lot of lumens away.
